Lucier has worked as a freelance
education writer since 2008. Prior to working as a full-time writer,
Ms.
Lucier worked at or for colleges for nearly 10 years. She has a
Master's degree in Higher
Education Administration from Harvard
University (Cambridge, MA) and a
Bachelor's degree in English & Comparative Literary Studies from Occidental College (Los Angeles, CA).
Ms. Lucier has written pieces, done research, or
served as an expert for The
New
York Times Company, U.S. News & World Report, StudentAdvisor.com (a
subsidiary of The Washington
Post Company), Wall Street Journal On Campus/Unigo, CosmoGIRL!,
the
Chicago Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, the Omaha World-Herald, L.A.
Weekly, the
Association of College Unions International's Bulletin, and in
numerous publications of colleges, universities,
organizations, businesses, and
individuals. She has also been a guest on the "Growing Up with Dr.
Jerry Brodlie" radio show. Additionally, Ms. Lucier is a member of the
Education Writers
Association.
